Why We Travel The Way We Do

People around the world travel for many different reasons. When my wife, Christina, and I began to explore the world together, we learned quickly that travel could do far more than simply entertain. Travel could challenge us, help to stretch our comfort zones, and open our eyes to a new way of looking at the world.

When our children, Cohen and Dylan, were born, we made the choice not just to show them the world, but to let the world inspire, teach, and challenge them as well.

We choose culture, nature, and meaningful experiences over convenience and routine. We’re happiest hiking through wild landscapes, sharing meals that tell a story, and staying in places with character rather than polish. That doesn’t mean hardship for the sake of it, a great meal or a memorable place to sleep is often the perfect way to end a long day of adventure.

Travel, for us, is about curiosity. About learning how the world works, understanding different perspectives, and growing, not just as individuals, but together as a family. This website exists to show you what’s possible when families choose to travel with intention.

Stories from the Road

Journeys that shaped our family and our travels. These are trips that pushed our limits, challenged our assumptions, and reminded us why we keep saying yes to adventure as a family.

We’ve been fortunate to have our work featured in Reader’s Digest, Canadian Geographic, and award-winning travel publications across North America. But the real measure of success is hearing from families who’ve used our stories to plan their own adventures. You can read these features right here.
